Product & Candle Care
Our candles are made from 100% all natural soy wax mixed with fragrance oils to create inspired scents. We hand-poured the scented wax into recyclable tin can vessels that sit into our hand cut Australian sandstone holders. Our sandstone is sourced from Bundanoon Sandstone Quarry and all of our candle ingredients are sourced from Australian suppliers. For more info see our Craft & Culture page.
Each candle burns for 30 - 40 hours. This is dependant on your environment and candle care habits.
Make sure to burn the candle for 1 to 3 hour intervals, so the melted wax reaches the edge of the can. If tunnelling begins, our larger wick is designed to correct it as the candle burns down. For more information please see our Care & Safety page.
Wooden wicks can take a few seconds to catch. Trim to 3 to 6mm, tilt the candle slightly, and hold the flame to the base of the wick for several seconds. It’s normal to relight wooden wicks once or twice.For more information please see our Care & Safety page.
Your RCK Sandstone Holder may become warm during burning, typically only when burning for a long period of time. To be safe, always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool fully before handling.
We do not recommend it. Our refills are designed to be burned inside the sandstone holder, which stabilises the can and protects surfaces from heat.
No need to worry! This is called candle "sweating" and is totally normal, especially in warm weather or during shipping. We cure each of our candles for over 2 weeks to ensure a strong fragrance bond to the wax so you don't have to worry about sweating causing damage.
Refills & Reuse
Well you are in luck as our candles are refillable! Once your original candle has finished, wait for the can to cool completely, lift it out and recycle the can. Then grab yourself one of our RCK Refills, check the wick is trimmed between 3 to 6mm, drop your new candle into the sandstone holder and enjoy! We currently ship Australia-wide with subsidised rates based on weight and size.
While we don't offer it at the moment, we are open to exploring this option! Feel free to reach out to us and we may be able to arrange something for you :)
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on size and weight. We cover the rest to help keep costs down as a thank you for supporting us.

Returns & Exchanges

We don’t offer refunds for change of mind or scent preference, but we do offer exchanges if the candle is unused, unburned, and in resalable condition with all original packaging. You’ll need to contact us within 14 days of delivery and cover the cost of returning the item. We’ll cover the shipping for your replacement.
