General Candle Care

To optimise the use of your RCK Candles and ensure a great burning experience, here are some general candle care tips:

Tunnelling

To avoid tunneling, allow the wax to melt and reach the edges of the can during each burn. We recommend burning the candle for 1-2 hour intervals to achieve a full melt pool, where the melted wax meets the edge of the can. This promotes an even burn and maximises the candle's performance.

Wick Length

Before each lighting, trim the wick to a length of 3-6mm. This helps maintain a steady flame and prevents the wick from extinguishing itself. Avoid trimming the wick too short or too long, as it may affect the candle's burn quality.

Wooden Wick

Remove any charred wood before lighting. You can use a wick trimmer or gently remove it by hand. Keeping the wick clean ensures optimal performance and a clean burn. Additionally, keep the candle free from dust or other contaminants that could interfere with the burn.

Lighting the Wick

Wooden wicks may require a couple of attempts to light. It's normal and acceptable to relight your wooden wick candle as needed. Simply give it another try, and the flame will catch.

By following these candle care practices, you'll enhance the performance and longevity of your RCK Candles, ensuring a beautiful and enjoyable burning experience.

How to refill your RCK Candle

  1. Ensure the candle can is completely cooled before handling to prevent any risk of burns.

  2. Carefully lift out the old candle from the can, ensuring not to damage the sandstone.

  3. Check the wick of the new candle refill and if need be, trim it to a height of 3 - 6mm for optimal burning.

  4. Gently drop the new candle refill into the sandstone, ensuring it fits securely.

  5. Light the candle and enjoy the beautiful glow and fragrant ambiance it creates.

Note: Remember to always exercise caution when handling candles, and never handle them while they are lit or hot.

Here are the steps to refill your RCK Candle:

Candle Safety

To ensure the safe use of your RCK Candles, please carefully follow these instructions and warnings:

  1. Never attempt to move a burning or hot candle. Always wait for the candle to extinguish, the wax to solidify, and the sandstone to cool down before handling. Spilled hot wax can cause burns and can stain the sandstone.

  2. The sandstone may become hot during use. Place the candle on a stable and heat-resistant surface to prevent any risk of fire or heat damage.

  3. Keep your RCK Candles out of reach of pets, children, and away from any flammable materials. Ensure a safe distance between the candle and any surrounding objects.

  4. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.

  5. After burning, a small amount of wax may remain. Allow the candle to fully cool before attempting to remove any leftover wax.

  6. Handle the sandstone with care as it is heavy. Avoid hitting the stone against any hard surfaces, as this can cause chipping or damage to the edges.

  7. Store your RCK Candles in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keeping the candles below 25 degrees Celsius will help preserve their quality and prevent any potential melting.
